Anna Kathryn Ash, 79, Stoystown, died August 19, 2016 at home. Born April 19, 1937 in Meyersdale, daughter of George and Pearl (Baer) Berkley.
Preceded in death by parents, son Bert, and brother Merl Berkley.
Survived by husband of 65 years James “Jim”; sons: James, Stoystown, Lewis married to the former Ellen Lantz, Stoystown, and Silas married to the former Judy Spory, Hollsopple; grandchildren: Ashley, Lewis, JR., Maria, and Angela; daughter-in-law: Sherry (Shaffer) Ash, Somerset; and brothers and sisters: Lewis (Sally) Berkley, Somerset, Wayne (Joann) Berkley, George (Norma) Berkley, Jane Warner, all of Meyersdale, and Mary Ellen Weaver, Pittsburgh.
She was a former dietary aide at Church of the Brethren Home, Windber and janitor at Shade Central City High School. Member of Kantner Assembly of God and Stoystown Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching the Steelers and doing needlepoint.
