Betty L. Landis, 85, Berlin, died Oct. 1, 2015 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born November 8, 1929 in Fairhope, daughter of John and Mary (Ellenberger) Benning. Preceded in death by parents; husband Robert D.; son Jeffery; daughter Belinda Landis, grandson Eric Landis, and a sister Imogene Stiffler; Survived by children: Christopher (Susan) Landis, Killen, TX; Craig (Michelle) Landis, Berlin; Sonya (Dallas) Webb, Hooversville; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Janet Gindlesperger, Berlin; Carol Duppstadt, Buckstown; Judy Suder, Berlin; brother: Larry (Audrey) Benning, New Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and an active member of the Berlin American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Pastor Frank Demmy and Pastor Ralph Landis officiating.
