Betty Fern Rayman

Betty Fern Rayman, 95, Friedens, died Feb. 18, 2018 at The Patriot. Born Aug. 18, 1922 in Lincoln Twp., daughter of Horace and Matilda (Lichty) Arden. Preceded in death by parents, husband Millard W., daughter Carol Shaver, brothers: Arthur, John, and Clifford Arden, and sisters: Grace Kimmel and Dorothy Stutzman. Survived by children: Eileen married to David Richards, Harrisburg, Kathy married to William Wildenmann, Stoystown, and James A. Rayman, Listie; son-in-law: William Shaver, Cumberland, MD; grandchildren: Tammy (Rick) Guthrie, David (Natalie) Custer, Jeffrey (Tina) Shaver, Michael (Belinda) Shaver, Gail (Mike) Smith, and Jill (Todd) Edmonson; 6 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. She was a 1940 graduate of Somerset High School. Member of Faith Lutheran Church. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. David Bowman officiating.
