Carol L. (Berkebile) Hayman

Carol L. Hayman, 78, Stoystown, died Feb. 13, 2016 at the Patriot. Born July 22, 1937 in

Wilbur, daughter of Elbert and Mae (Dinning) Berkebile. Preceded in death by parents; father- and mother-in-law William and Mary Louise Hayman; brother-in-law Robert Buchanan; and sister-in-law Shirley Leshok. Survived by her husband of 48 years, William; sister Cecelia Buchanan; nephews Scott (Nadine) Buchanan and Terry (Susan) Buchanan; and great nieces and nephew: Sydney, Madyson, and Parker Buchanan. She was a 1955 graduate of Shade High School and had retired as the Hooversville branch manager of Johnstown Bank and Trust after 35 years of service. Member of Stoystown American Legion Post 257 Ladies Auxiliary; Stoyestown Area and Hooversville Historical Societies, and was the former treasurer for the Somerset County chapter of the Salvation Army. She enjoyed traveling, music, casino trips, and spoiling her family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Heidi Helsel officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
