Carol Jean Uphouse, 70, Berlin, died July 20, 2017 at home. Born April 26, 1947 in Meyersdale, daughter of David and Peggy (Poorbaugh) Bowser. Preceded in death by parents, son Keith Sarver, and sister Cindy Lou Bowser. Survived by her husband of 47 years, John “Fred” Uphouse; children: Christopher (Jane) Uphouse, Friedens, Jennifer (Paul) Horner and Heather (Aron Hunt) Uphouse, both of Berlin; grandchildren: Laken, Ashley, Ryan, and Brianna; great grandchildren: Taylor, Maddison, Zoey, Ryliegh, Jaxson, Grayson, and Paisley; sisters: Karen White, Sandy Weimer, Debra Hillegass, and Joni Weighley; and brother David Bowser, Jr. She attended Berlin Brothersvalley High School. Member of Berlin Brethren Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and animals. A memorial service will be held Sat. July 29th at 11 a.m. at Berlin Brethren Church. Rev. Tom Sprowls officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O.
