Cherie Emerick Glessner, 79, of Davidsville formerly of Berlin, died Oct. 11, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 12, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of Ernest L. Sr. and Edwina (Meeker) Emerick. Preceded in death by parents, husband William, and brother E. Lee Emerick Jr. Survived by close cousin Cindy Griffin and husband John, Davidsville; sister-in-law Sandra R. Emerick, Lancaster; three nieces and one nephew. She was a 1955 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. She was formerly employed by Penn Traffic and had retired from the former Somerset State Hospital. She attended and was the organist for Beachdale Church of the Brethren and was most recently a pianist at Laurel View Village. There will be a private interment at Glade Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Laurel View Village Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. Jeff Bassette and Rev. Wes Yoder officiating.
