Dolores Edna Bockes 85 of Meyersdale, formerly of Berlin, went to meet the Lord on Jan. 18, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born April 22, 1929 in Berlin, daughter of Otis O. Bockes and Edna Hilda "Toddy" (Yutzy) Bockes-Thompson.
Preceded in death by parents, step mother Vella Bockes, step father Scott Thompson, and sister-in-law Frances Bockes.
Survived by brothers: Ronald O. (Anna Belle) Bockes, Berlin,
William E. (Iris) Thompson, Greeneville, Tenn., and Tommy O. Thompson, Garrett;
nieces: Amanda Bockes and Suzette (Thompson) Arch; and nephews: Terry, Rodney, and Scott Thompson.
She was a 1948 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, and she sold candy at the former Blue Ridge Theater in Berlin.
Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin.
She was a resident of Golden Living Center for over 30 years. Dolores made many friends over the years and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday May 16th at 11 a.m. at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Tim Vaughn and Rev. William Thompson officiating.
