Donald Cottrell Sr., 91, of Fairhope, died March 16, 2015 at home. Born July 10, 1923 in Euclid, West Virginia, son of William A. and Birdie (Groves) Cottrell.
Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty Benson; brother Paul, and sisters Edna Simmons and Ruth Uldridge.
Survived by sons: Larry (Inga) Cottrell, Denmark; and Donald Jr. and David, both of Fairhope;
grandchildren: Danny, Tonya, and Belinda;
and sisters: Georgie Hollins and Bethel Robinson, both of Baltimore MD.
He was a W.W. II Army Veteran and a retired Baptist minister. Member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Acosta. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Mike Minick officiating. Interment Terra Alta Cemetery, WV.
