Preceded in death by parents, brothers: Roy, John, Robert, Fred, and Paul, and sisters: Helen Darr, Lois Litzinger, and Myrtle Zimmerman. Survived by his wife of 60 years the former Betty Sniecienski; children: Brian N. and wife Tammy, Denver, Col., and Lisa and husband Paul Maurer, Martinsburg, W. Va.; grandchildren: Katie, Zachary, Aaron, and Joshua Shaffer, and Derek and Jessica Maurer; brother Carl “Bud” (Alice) Shaffer, Canton, Oh.; sister Verna Boyer, Richland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Bethlehem and J. Pitt Steel, Johnstown. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville and Hooversville Lions Club. Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville where a Lions service will be held at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville.
