Ellen L. (Durst) Peterman

Ellen L. Peterman, 84, of Stoystown, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown as she was surrounded by her loving family. Born July 25, 1932 in New Kensington, daughter of Orville and Martha (Irwin) Durst. Proceeded in death by parents, husband Robert Peterman Sr., daughter Glenna Housel, and brothers: Alvin "Pete" Durst and Orville "Jr" Durst. Survived by son Robert Peterman Jr. and wife Tammy; daughter Debra Hall and husband Randy; and son in law Tom Housel. She was a grandmother of nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Dalton "Dale" Durst; sister Martha Feeser; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from Gilmour Manufacturing. She loved her family, and enjoyed crafts and crocheting. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Charles Kelly officiating.
