Fred E. Manges

Fred E. Manges, 81, Hooversville, died Nov. 18, 2016. Born Sept. 3, 1935 in Conemaugh Twp. son of the late Orie and Olive (Bowers) Manges. Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Dorothy Denk; children: Janet (Jeff) Yoder, Orie (Sally) Manges, Timothy Manges, Thomas (Beth) Manges, and Claudia (Joe) Cominsky; 20 grandchildren , 16 great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters: Gerald (Kathy) Manges, Bonnie (Don) Eash, Dan (Barb) Manges, Larry (Judy) Manges, Rick (Garyl) Manges, Robin (Greg) Stufft, and Lori (Denny) Custer. He was a 1953 graduate of Conemaugh Twp. High School and served in the Navy Reserve. He was a retired millwright for Bethlehem Steel. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, Dark Shade Beagle Club, and the Hooversville Historical Society. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where a Vigil Service will be held at 2 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Karl Kolodziejski O.F.M. Conv. officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. Graveside Military Rites by Somerset County Honor Guard.
