Gladys N. Berkebile, 88, Somerset, went to be with the Lord April 23, 2016 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born April 25, 1927, daughter of Elmer and Alfrieda (Wilkie) Rose.
Preceded in death by parents, grandson Jeffrey Scott Berkebile, daughter-in-law Pauline (McClucas) Berkebile, brother Cecil Rose, and sister Dorthy Beal.
Survived by husband Ceylon Berkebile, Somerset; sons: Larry D. married to the former Ruby-ellen Mutz, Friedens, and Lynn D. married to the former Janet Kemp, Leland, NC; grandchildren: Candy (Robert) Lyons, Frederick, MD, Penny Berkebile, Stoystown, and Robert (Heather) Berkebile, Dexter, MI; step grandchildren: Cheryl (Scott) Napier, Leland, NC, and David (Danielle) Kemp, Baltimore, MD; great grandchildren: Skyler, Colin, and Aiden Lyons, Avery and Carson Berkebile, and Rachel Kemp.
She was formerly employed as a home health aide for M.S. patients. Member of Kantner Assembly of God.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Tim Farkas officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Kantner Assembly of God, 430 Schoolhouse Rd., Kantner, PA 15548.
