Linda Kay Knopsnyder, 55, Stoystown (Kimmelton) died May 18, 2017 at Windber Hospice. Born March 13, 1962 in Somerset, daughter of Virginia (Stull) Koontz of Stoystown and the late Ronald “Wick” Koontz. Also preceded in death by a sister, Sue Ann Shaffer. Also survived by her husband Jerry; daughters Jaime married to Jamey Gross, Rockwood, Amy married to Chris Bittner, Somerset, and Jill married to Joshua Baker, Jennerstown; grandchildren: Jaden and Jordyn Gross, Zoey and Logen Brant, Ariya Bittner, and Rylee and Kaylee Baker; brother Terry Koontz, sisters Brenda married to Bruce Ohler and Brooke Koontz; and several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Somerset High School. She was the cafeteria manager at North Star Middle School and worked at Cheryl’s Home Run Pizza, Friedens. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church and P.S.E.A. She enjoyed walking her dog Rocky and spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank her close friends and neighbors for their help and care. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service at 4 p.m. Monday at Friedens Lutheran Church. Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating.
