Margaret June Shaffer, 76, Stoystown, died April 14, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 26, 1941 in Johnstown, daughter of Virgil Floyd and Elizabeth Grace (Thurau) Carney. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers Fred Carney and Dorsey Dorofey. Survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel; children: Wayne Wagner, Jr., Johnstown, Yvonne (Joe) Whitacre, Germantown, MD, and Matthew (Lori) Wagner, Central City; six grandchildren: Sarah, Jenny, Kayla, Kelly, Benjamin, and Hannah; four great grandchildren: Diamond, Shane, Kaden, and Kloé; and sister: Connie (Dan) Kautz, Odenton, MD. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, computer games, and spending time with her grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday at Graef’s Lutheran Church, 2nd and McGregor Streets, Cairnbrook. Rev. Ruth Jensen officiating.
