Mary Etta (Spangler) Landis

Mary Etta Landis, 99, Berlin, died June 24, 2015 at Siemon Lakeview Manor.  Born Dec. 17, 1915 in Jennerstown, daughter of Charles F. and Mary A. (Friedline) Spangler. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 75 years Edward M.; grandson Taylor; brothers: Pat, Charles, William, David, and Richard Spangler; and sisters: Myrtle Spangler, Carrie Stufft, May Jackson, Elsie Baughman, and twin sister Ida Maust. Survived by son: William E. married to the former Barbara C. Bodine, Berlin; grandsons: Trever K. and wife Kimberly, Joel W. and wife Lorna, and Andrew R.; great grandchildren: Dylan, Brody, Kadence, and Josie Landis; sister Ruth Wallace, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She operated “The Meadows” dairy farm with her husband, Edward. Member of Trinity U.C.C., Berlin. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity U.C.C. Berlin. Rev. Frank Demmy officiating.
