Michael Anthony Polakoski

Michael Anthony Polakoski, 63, of Somerset, died March 9, 2018 at Somerset Hospital. Born August 2, 1954 in Somerset, son of Joseph and Josephine (Barbera) Polakoski. Preceded in death by parents, and son Patrick. Survived by his wife of 31 years the former Amy Leazier; son Bernard “Ben” married to the former Kaylin Aust, Pittsburgh; daughters: Kristina G. and Katherine B. Polakoski; brothers and sisters: Patrick Polakoski, Somerset, Bernardette Hubbs and husband Stephen, Newark, DE, Maria Polakoski and husband C. Wayne Davis, Darnestown, MD, Anne Polakoski and husband Brian Zeigler, John Polakoski married to the former Dinah Steyer, Virginia Brant and husband Mark, and Verna Carberry and husband Jeffrey, all of Somerset, Natale Aust and husband Douglas, Friedens, Joseph Polakoski married to the former Magdala Ulysses, Dobbs Ferry, NY, and Therese Polakoski and husband Dale Trozzo, Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by father and mother-in-law James and Phyllis Leazier, and his dog Bella. He was a 1972 graduate of Somerset High School and was employed by Luther P. Miller, Inc. Member of Friedens Lutheran Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his special group of friends and fixing Saab cars. He had a big smile and kind heart to all he touched, and he loved to pull pranks. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Friedens Lutheran Church. Rev. Doug Knupp officiating. Inurnment Friedens Lutheran Cemetery. As Mike did not like to get dressed up, casual or work clothing will be welcomed.
