Norman A. Younkin, Sr., 71, Somerset, died Nov. 10, 2016 at home. Born Nov. 22, 1944 in Somerset, son of Matthew J. and Erma (Sanner) Younkin. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Suzanne Tall, brother Gerald Younkin, mother-in-law Evelyn Tall, and sisters-in-law Karen Tall and Iris Younkin. Survived by children: Heather married to David McGraw, West Monroe, LA, Holly married to William Dunsten, Windber, and Norman Younkin Jr. and wife the former Aimee Reiking, Somerset; grandchildren: Lindsey and Austin McGraw, Daniel Dunsten, and Isaac and Addison Younkin; and brother Larry Younkin and wife Mary Kay, Florence, AZ. He was a graduate of Rockwood High School and a Vietnam War Navy Veteran. He was a former coal miner and a retired security guard from Hiram G. Andrews Center. Member of Rayman Church of the Brethren, Friedens. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev.
