Phillip L. Bittner, Sr., 57, Berlin, died Aug. 2, 2017 in Bedford County. Born April 18, 1960 in Somerset, son of Denise (Ohler) Bittner and Donna (Knopsnyder) Hause, both of Stoystown, and the late Ronald F. Bittner Sr. Also preceded in death by daughter Britteny Emma Kyle. Survived by his wife of 37 years the former Rhonda Pletcher; son Phillip Jr. and wife Allison, Friedens; sisters: Robin, Toni, Renea, and Tammy Bittner; brother Ron (Bobbi Jo) Bittner; step sister Shannon Hause; step brother Nathan Hause; brothers and sisters-in-law: Randy and Bonnie Pletcher and Juanita Rivers; special friends Angie, Tyler, and Jenny; and his K-9 companion Pudge. He was a 1978 graduate of Rockwood High School and was employed by Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. Member of Kantner Assembly of God and a supporter of Women’s Help Centers. He enjoyed 5K run/walks, motorcycles, NASCAR, football, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 6 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Tony Baker officiating.
