Rhoda S. (Peachey) Kauffman

Rhoda S. (Peachey) Kauffman, age 75 years, four months, eight days, Stoystown, formerly of Rome, died Friday July 31, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.  Born March 23, 1940 in Mifflin County, a daughter of Noah and Emma (Bawel) Peachey.  Preceded in death by parents; husband of almost 54 years Stephen K. on July 23, 2014; son, Nathan; brothers: Henry, Louie, and Shem Peachey; and sisters: Annie and Katie Zook.. Survived by her children: Freda Kauffman and Darwin Kauffman, both of Madison NY; Lillian (Zacchaeus) Zimmerman, Farmington, NM; Joyce Kauffman, Honduras, Central America; Bernice (David) Moyer, Sparta, TN; Philip (Rose) Kauffman, Stoystown; and Charity (Weston) Leibee, New Holland; daughter-in-law Kathryn Kauffman, Bedford; 19 grandchildren; sisters: Elsie Swarey, Rachel Walters, and Sylvia Yoder; and brothers: Kore, Jonas, and Paul Peachey.  Rhoda was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She leaves behind her many precious memories and a godly example of faithfulness to her Savior.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Christian Light Fellowship Church, Bedford, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.  Interment church cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
