Richard Charles Musser, 91, Berlin, died Feb. 10, 2017 at Somerset Hospital. Born June 11, 1925 in Berlin, son of Charles Wilson and Cora Idella (Fresh) Musser. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers William and Robert. Survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Evelyn Kimble; daughters: Teresa Ellen and husband Bruce Crawford, Deborah Ann and husband Steven Dratter, Joyce Elaine and husband William Meyers, and Mary Lea and husband Dale Meyers; grandchildren: Bruce (Tina) Crawford, Kelley (Dave) Cupp, Richard Crawford, Joseph (Claire) Dratter, Ethan, Jared, and Jessica Meyers; great grandchildren: Tanner and Rachel Cupp, Connor and Brayden Crawford, and Richard and Isabella Crawford; and brother Jack (Gloria) Musser. A 1943 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and member of their first football team, and attended Penn State University for Agriculture. He was a former Summit Twp. dairy farmer and owned his own milk transport business. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin and in later years the Meyersdale Church of Christ. He was a WW II Army Air Corps veteran where he served with the Flying Tigers and belongs to the Flying Tigers 69th DRS Assoc., the Last Man’s Club and the VFW in Berlin. He was an avid Berlin, Penn State and Steeler football fan. He volunteered at the Meyersdale Senior Center. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Scott Baker and Rev. Timothy Moore officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Military Honors at the funeral home by the Berlin Veterans Home.
