Roger L. Weigle

Roger L. Weigle, 63, Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord Nov. 5, 2017. Born April 19, 1954 in Somerset, son of Ray and Ruby (Henry) Weigle. Preceded in death by parents and an infant brother. Survived by his wife, the former Marie Geisweidt, Stoystown; step children: Joseph (Ruby), John (Teri Gregor), and Jason (Lindsey) Shifflett; step grandson Aaron Shifflett; sisters: Janet (Austin) Gillingham and Connie (Frank) Stinebiser; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1972 graduate of Somerset High School, a 1978 graduate of Chapman College, and retired after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Somerset MH/MR and was currently the caretaker for Camp Albryoca. Member of Reading Grace Brethren Church, Laurel Ridge Sportsmen’s Club, and the Hooversville V.F.W. He enjoyed bowling, sports, and history. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev.
