Ruth Ann (Shaver) Speicher

Ruth Ann (Shaver) Speicher, 71, Friedens, died Nov. 14, 2015 at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, surrounded by family. Born Feb. 25, 1944 in Somerset, daughter of William H. Shaver, Somerset, and the late Dorothy (Gindlesperger) Shaver. Also preceded in death by sister-in-law Carol (Rayman) Shaver. Also survived by husband of 50 years Mark E.; children: Mark A. married to the former Dagmar Freyhardt, Germany; Brenda M. married to Michael D. Gerhardt, Severn, MD.; and Bradley L. married to the former Chrystii Stephens, Jennerstown; grandchildren: Lisa, Bryan, Miriam, Dennis, Logan, Megan, Harmony, Dezii, and Daniel; great granddaughter Lara; special friend, grandson, and caregiver David Smith, Stoystown; sister Gloria Jean married to Terry Welker, Seven Valleys; brothers: William E. Shaver, Shanksville; and Randy D. (Sharon) Shaver, Cottage Grove, WI.; special aunt Deanna (Gindlesperger) married to Fred Tipton, Parma, OH.; and many nieces and nephews. She was a 1962 graduate of Somerset High School, and a retired deli worker and caregiver. Member of Reading Grace Brethren Church, Stoystown. Ruth Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and planning family reunions, always making sure to include everyone. She enjoyed making photo albums, quilts, and family trees. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Reading Grace Brethren Church. Rev.
