Virginia L. “Ginger” Platt, 72, Berlin, died June 21, 2016 at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1943 in Meyersdale, daughter of Theodore and Mildred (Wiland) Baer.
Preceded in death by parents, and husband Carl W. “Candyman.”
Survived by brothers: Richard (Verdell) Baer, Texas, Gary (Elsie) Baer, Meyersdale, and Theodore (Marsha) Baer, Indiana; sisters: Gwen Mays, Berlin, and Sally Miller, Meyersdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Meyersdale High School and retired from Verizon. She attended Victory Bible Church, Meyersdale.
Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Inurnment Brotherton Pike Cemetery.
