William J. Farber, 86, Berlin, died November 4, 2015, at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born July 5, 1929 in Berlin, son of Ross and Mary (Mannarino) Farber. Preceded in death by parents; an infant son; sisters: Karman Miller, Elizabeth Muscenti, and Rose Lishia; and brothers: Paul, Frank, Sam, Joseph, Anthony, and Albert Farber. Survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Louise W. Beech; daughter Kim Farber, Berlin; grandson Eric W. Good; and caregiver Peggy Weimer. He was a US Army veteran and was the former owner/operator of the New National Hotel in Berlin. Member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Berlin; American Legion Post 445, Berlin; B.P.O.E. 1951, Meyersdale; New Baltimore Sportsmen’s Club, and Berlin Fire Dept. He enjoyed woodworking, four wheeling and spending time with his grandson. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Saturday November 21st at 11 a.m. Rev. Heidi Holst officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Berlin Veterans Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Somerset In Touch Hospice, P.O.
