Budd Oscar Bruening

Budd Oscar Bruening, 87, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Stoystown, went to be with the Lord March 18, 2024. Born May 13, 1936 in Friedens, son of Oscar and Mary Naomi (Durand) Bruening. Preceded in death by parents, sisters: Mary Kathryn Donia and Connie Bruening, and brother Daniel Bruening. Survived by loving wife of 25 years the former Pamela Seifert; children: Barry (Lisa) Bruening, Barbara Vasos and friend Bill Phillips, and Brian (Jackie) Bruening; grandchildren: David (Amber) Stevanus, Melissa Vasos, Damon (Veronica) McClintock, and Josh Pritts; 5 great grandchildren; sister Lois Spaulding; former wife Beverly Bruening; and numerous nephews, special friends, and a niece. He was a Korean War Army Paratrooper Veteran and the owner/operator of Bud’s Auto Repair, Somerset. Member of Delnorte Baptist Church, NM. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, going to Jennerstown Speedway, and spending time with his family and friends. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Chris Knight officiating. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. Graveside Military Honors by the Somerset Co. Honor Guard. A memorial service will be held at Delnorte Baptist Church at a later date.
