Patricia Monsees Obituary

Patricia A. Monsees, 86, Berlin, formerly of South Bound Brook, NJ, died peacefully March 30, 2024 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born June 16, 1937 in Plainfield, NJ, daughter of Eugene Monsees and Anna (Hoerler) O’Grady. Preceded in death by parents, step father Clement O’Grady, and sisters Eileen (Thomas) Porter and Marcia Porter. Survived by nieces and nephew: Sharon Porter, Amy (Dennis) Hague, Dana Izzo, Becky (Lonnie) Heffner, Matthew (Billie Jo) Porter, Abby (Jason Glime) Perich, and Wendy (Chuck) Fiscus; brother-in-law Robert Porter; some cousins; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was a teacher for 32 years at Conackamack School District in Piscataway, NJ. Member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Bound Brook, NJ, and South Bound Brook Senior Citizen Group. She enjoyed traveling, putting puzzles together, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, making hundreds of afghans for family and friends, and often donated some of her creations to church silent auctions. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. Inurnment Franklin Memorial Park, Franklin, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
