Benjamin C. Pyle

Benjamin C. Pyle, 70, Berlin, died February 12, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 13, 1948 in Somerset, son of the late Benjamin H. and Ann C. (Hummel) Pyle. Survived by his sister, Kay Ann (Hillard “Buck”) West, Somerset, nieces Holly and Pamela Rupert, grandnephew Josiah Clark, grandniece Sadriah Sandburg, cousin Calvin G. (Barbara) Pyle, Fairhope, their children Matthew (Melissa) and Nathan Pyle, and special cousins who called him “Uncle Ben”, Riley and McKenna Pyle. He was a 1966 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was the former owner of Pyle’s Auto Sales. Prior to that, he worked for A & P Supermarket. Member of the First United Methodist Church, Somerset. He was a history buff, especially World War II and the Revolutionary War, and enjoyed antique automobiles. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment St. John’s Cemetery, Somerset.
