Dr. Joseph F. Jurgevich, 68, Somerset, passed Nov. 6, 2019 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born Nov. 10, 1950 in Somerset, son of the late Peter and Ruth (Kimmel) Jurgevich. Survived by his wife of 40 years the former Gail Redden; children: Joseph Jr. (Jody) and Maria Jurgevich; granddaughter Liliana Grace; sister Nancy and brother James “Slim” (Vicki) Jurgevich. He was a 1968 graduate of Forbes High School and a graduate of Temple University and Temple Dental School. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset, Berlin Lions Club, American Dental Assoc., and a charter member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 257, Stoystown. He loved spending time with his family, especially his precious granddaughter. He was an avid golfer, made friends easily, and maintained those friendships throughout the years, especially his Forbes High School classmates. Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his dental practice and commitment to his patients and staff, many who also became his friends. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset. Rev.
