Frank R. Strasiser, 92, of Indiana formerly of Stoystown, died July 27, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born January 4, 1926 in Kantner, son of Anton Sr. and Jennie (Sernel) Strasiser. Preceded in death by parents, brother Tony Jr., and sisters: Mary Lephart, Julia Carter, Mollie Naymick, and Jennie Selby. Survived by his wife of 66 years the former Aletta Dixon; daughter Cheryl married to David Flegle , Indiana; granddaughter Hope married to David Fluharty, Fort Bragg, NC; and numerous dear nieces and nephews. He attended Stoystown High School and was a World War II Army Veteran, having served in the 284th Engineer Combat Battalion. Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown. Formerly attended Kantner United Methodist Church. He was a member of Stoystown American Legion and served on the Stoystown Borough Water Authority for many years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Rich Pearson officiating. Interment Somerset Co.
