Gene William Muro

Gene William Muro, 73, Hooversville, died Nov. 6, 2018 at home. Born March 29, 1945 in Johnstown, son of the late Paul and Helen (Marchetti) Muro. Survived by these children: Kimberly married to Michael Carroll, Hollsopple, Jerome, at home, Gina married to Herman McDonald, Berlin, Genette married to Joseph Swank, Friedens, Geneffer married to Earl Moore, Williamsport, and Geneanne married to Wesley Fritz, Berlin; grandchildren: Shelby Lyons and Luke Smith, Ashley Miller and Tyler Muro, Cody and Storm McDonald, Joey, Katey, and Alley Swank, Xander and Evening Moore, and Gavin and Bowin Fritz; great grandchildren: Kayden and Emma Muro, Maci Miller, and two on the way; brother Paul Muro married to the former Barbara Oster, Stoystown; Nieces Paula Folton and Maria Pcola; and nephew Corey Muro. Gene was a retired coal miner and a member of New Baltimore Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
