Gerald I. Walker, 97, Berlin, died Dec. 10, 2017 at home. Born Feb. 20, 1920 in Berlin, son of Earl and Pearl (Poorbaugh) Walker. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Ethel Hillegas, daughter Donna Lee Skanderson, brother Jay P. Walker, and sister Pauline Lafferty. Survived by children: Ronald G. and wife LuAnn, Somerset, and Larry I. and wife Diane, North Huntingdon; son-in-law John Skanderson, Pittsburgh; grandchildren: Jill Wiedner, Amy Walker, Julie Pare’, Tiffany Todaro, and Shawn Walker; 11 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, and former owner/operator of Gerald Walker Trucking, Berlin for over 70 years. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and a founder of Mountain Bowmen Archery Club. No viewing or visitation. A private family service will be held at Gerald’s request. Rev.
