Hazel M. (Miller) Emerick

Hazel M. Emerick, 85, Fairhope, went into the arms of the Lord July 9, 2018 at home. Born Oct. 22, 1932 in Meyersdale, daughter of William and Jessie (Miller) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, husband Elwood, brothers: Leonard and Floyd Miller, infant brother Lloyd Miller, sisters: Mary Straka and Virginia Miller, and son-in-law Dale Shuck. Survived by children: Kevin and wife Jeri, Fairhope, Mary Ohler and husband Robert, Berlin, Ellen Shuck, Meyersdale, David and wife Jane, Garrett, Dale and wife Martha, and Lee, both of Fairhope; step sons: Ronald Emerick, CA, and Dennis Emerick, WA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; also survived by brothers: Dalton, Theodore, and Charles Miller, all of Fairhope; and sister Betty Meslovich and husband Joseph, VA. She enjoyed flower gardening, raising chickens, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating.
