Helen F. Engle, 97, Somerset, formerly of Berlin, passed away March 12, 2018 at the Patriot. Born Aug. 14, 1920 in Berlin, daughter of Clarence Earl and Blanche C. (Knepper) Reiman. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 55 years, Roy M. Engle; grandson, Ryan Engle; sisters, Janet Bates, June Barkman, Irene Evans and Doris Coby; and brother, Clair Reiman. Survived by son, Randy Engle; step-daughters, Carol (Ken) Miller and Betty (Telford) Brant; grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Engle and Timothy Engle; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Reiman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, the Alvin Fisher Jr. family. She was a school teacher at the Shanksville-Stonycreek School District, a farmer's wife, and lifelong member of Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. A memorial service will be held Sat. April 7th at 11 a.m. at the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren, 7699 Glades Pike, Berlin, PA 15530. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Green and Pastor James Richard Yates officiating. Inurnment Brotherton Pike Cemetery.
