Helen Theresa (Venklar) Waltos

Helen Theresa Waltos, 98, Hooversville, died Sept. 8, 2018 at Somerset In Touch Hospice House. Born Feb. 12, 1920 in Parkhill, daughter of Stanley and Rosalia (Buczek) Venklar. Preceded in death by parents, husband John, son Robert J., brothers: Edward and Casimer Venkler, and sister Mary Venklar. Survived by children: Lillian and Thomas Waltos, both of Hooversville; and sister Genevieve Mercik, Vinco. She was a former garment worker prior to her marriage. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Society, cleaned the church, and helped at numerous church functions. She loved her family and cared for them. She loved God and the Blessed Mother, and prayed the Rosary devoutly. Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville where a Vigil Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
