James D. Williams

James D. Williams, 81, of Kantner died Nov. 28, 2018 at home. Born July 4, 1937 in Johnstown, son of Gomer Jr. and Ruth Alta (Berkebile) Williams. Preceded in death by parents, brother William R. Williams and wife Betty, and nephew Douglas Williams. Survived by a nephew Bryan Williams and wife Jenny, Aurora, CO; great niece Brooke; and great nephews: Alex, Bradley, and Casey. He was a 1955 graduate of Forbes High School, and former owner operator of Williams Grocery in Kantner. Member and former longtime usher at Kantner United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kantner U.M. Church. Rev. Rich Pearson officiating.
