JoAnn Margaret Snyder, 82, Friedens, died Dec. 31, 2017 at The Patriot. Born Jan. 10, 1935 in Friedens, daughter of Homer and Alice (Stern) Leazier. Preceded in death by parents, husband Milton R., son Mark, and brother Homer Ray Leazier. Survived by children: Jeff married to the former Jenny Sipe, and Jody married to James Berkebile, all of Friedens; step granddaughter Carissa Ritenour; and brothers: James (Phyllis) Leazier, Friedens, and John (Jackie) Leazier, Columbus, OH. She was a graduate of Forbes High School. Retired aide at Shanksville Stonycreek Schools, and former employee of J.C. Penney and Sears in Somerset. Member of Faith Lutheran Church and Farm Women. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and reading. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church. Rev. Ben Mandrick officiating. Interment Somerset Co. Memorial Park.
