John Michael Gary

John Michael Gary, 71, Boswell, passed away Jan. 21, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Feb. 9, 1947 in Somerset, son of Martin and Sara (Deist) Gary. Preceded in death by parents and son Jay Heidorn. Survived by his wife of 38 years the former Rosalie Magazzu; his first wife Anna; beloved grandson whom he raised Michael Heidorn married to the former Jessica Tylman; children: Connie (Daryl) Bassett, John Gary Jr. and fiancée Lauren Maurer, Debbie Ryan, and Eric, Charles, Tina, Peggy, Bobbi Jo, and Tracy Heidorn, and Beth Ann Peterman; grandchildren: Jason, William, Hannah, Jennifer, Deborah, MacKenzie, James, Damian, Alexander, James, Jackie, Chucky (Amanda), David, Dylan, Alixandra, Jesse, and Lindsey; great grandchildren: Kayden, Gavin, Lily, Mason, Kevin, Bentley, Emily, Jamie, Tristan, Haven, Regan, Logan, Chance, Charlee, Jayden, and Madison; great great granddaughter Kennedy; brothers: Jay (Edie) Gary, Martin (Shirley) Gary, and Dean Gary; sisters: Sally (Daniel) Yutzy, Doris (George) Gary-Palmer, and Barb (Lee) Kauffman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1965 graduate of Jenner Boswell Joint High School. He was loved by many and “Pap” to all. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
