Joseph Andrew "Pappy" Meslovich

Joseph Andrew “Pappy” Meslovich, 81, of Grottoes, VA, formerly of Berlin, went to be with the Lord June 14, 2019 at Curis at Harrisonburg. Born Oct. 28, 1937 in Marguerite, son of Andrew and Anna (Kopcho) Meslovich. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers Andrew and John. Survived by wife of 45 years the former Betty Jane Miller; son Joseph (Elizabeth) Meslovich, Staunton, VA; grandchildren: Alexandra and Benjamin; and sisters: Susanna Miller, Somerset, Virginia Meslovich and Margaret (Tony) Taliaferro, both of Berlin, and Evelyn Mognet, Meyersdale. He was a graduate of St. Vincent Prep School and a former Allegheny Twp. Supervisor. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Waynesboro, VA. He was a car and tractor enthusiast. We will miss our beloved Pappy, love Alex and Ben. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a Vigil Service will be held at 2 p.m. Mass Thursday 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore.
