Lois Arlene (Podratz) Bodine

Lois Arlene Bodine, 93, Somerset, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, died June 16, 2018 at Siemon’s Heritage. Born May 25, 1925 in Winthrop, MN, daughter of Charles and Gertrude Grace (Webb) Podratz. Preceded in death by parents and grandson Taylor Matthew Landis. Survived by daughter Barbara married to William Landis, Berlin, son Daniel Bodine and wife Sharon, Redmond, WA; grandchildren: Andrew Landis and Devon and Claire Bodine; sisters Orma Bediz and Elaine Masters; and nine nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Grand Forks, ND High School. Early in life, she completed medical training and worked as a medical technician in radiology. Later in life she worked as an editorial assistant for the Dept. of Defense in Colorado Springs, and completed an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Pike’s Peak Community College, Colorado Springs, where she was on the Dean’s List. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday July 27th at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating.
