Marie E. (Kennedy) Smith

Marie E. Smith, 76, Stoystown, died June 8, 2018 at home. Born Sept. 30, 1941 in Stoystown, daughter of Russell and Marie (Deaner) Kennedy. Preceded in death by parents; husband Robert L. Sr.; daughter Linda; brothers: Timothy and Richard Kennedy; and sisters: Linda, Allegra, Genevie, and Karen Kay Kennedy. Survived by her daughter Roxanne Bhuiya and husband Golam, Florida; son: Robert Jr. married to the former Amanda Miller, Johnstown; 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; brothers: William (Beverly) Kennedy and James Kennedy, both of Stoystown, and Donald (Gaile) Kennedy, Jennerstown; and sister Loretta (Robert) Vandergrift, Friedens. She enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, nature watching, and her animals. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tues. at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. Pastor Rich Pearson officiating.
