Mary Ann Cotter, 84, of Berlin, died Feb. 19, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Jan. 31, 1935 in Somerset, daughter of Alexander Preston and Mary Emma (Rishel) Ringler.
Preceded in death by parents, husband Carl M. Jr., and brothers Harold and Robert Ringler.
Survived by children: Cheryl married to Dennis Hay, Berlin, Keith married to the former Karen Shipley, Fairhope, Brian married to the former Debra Harkcom, Dana married to the former Mary Kinsella, Mary Lynn married to David Bowser, and Michael married to the former Brenda Sarver, all of Berlin; grandchildren: Jeremy (Tanya) and Jared Hay, Nicholas (Ashley) and Dillon Cotter, Erin (Mike) Wain, Levi and Brenden Bowser, and Drew and Tuck Cotter; great grandchildren: Riley and Trace Hay, Ava and Connor Wain, Brogan Cotter, and Camden; and special cousins: Carol and Ken Miller and Betty and Ted Brant.
She was a 1952 graduate of Somerset High School and Indiana State Teachers College in 1956. She was a substitute teacher and retired from the Early Intervention Program with MHMR. Member of Berlin Brethren Church where she was a member of the bell choir, “The Supper Club,” and a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, counted cross stitch, baking, cooking, and spending time with family.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23rd, at Berlin Brethren Church. Rev. Tom Sprowls officiating.
