Orphia E. (Bush) Horning

Orphia E. Horning, 88, of New Castle formerly of Garrett, died Aug. 2, 2018 at The Haven Convalescent Home, New Castle. Born March 22, 1930 in Garrett, daughter of Reggie and Ruth (Coughenour) Bush.  Preceded in death by parents; husband Eugene R. Horning, five brothers, and four sisters. Survived by children: Sandra K. Horning, Berlin, Karen (Chris) Lepore, New Castle, Gene Horning, and Chris (Salle) Horning, both of Masury, OH; grandchildren: Cory, Shannon, Samantha, Bryan, Brad, Joshua, Noah, Nathan, and Ricki; 20 great grandchildren; sisters: Edna Lenhart, Ruth Keller, and Betty Fogle; and brothers Darrell (Dorothy) Bush and Wayne (Joan) Bush. She was a 1947 graduate of Garrett High School and previously worked at the Meyersdale Shirt Factory. She loved playing BINGO, collecting various items, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Steve Read officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
