Ray W. Miller, 88, Hooversville, died June 14, 2019 at home. Born Dec. 7, 1930 in Quemahoning Twp., son of Charles W. and Bessie (Shaffer) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Roberta Gindlesperger, son Charles, brothers Robert and Dale, and grandson Bret. Survived by children: Alan, Stoystown, Gregory married to the former Kathy Blucas, Hooversville, Janice married to Michael Percherke, Enola, and Eileen married to Glenn Lintz, East Berlin; daughter-in-law Sue Ann Miller, Somerset; grandchildren: Kristy, Brian, Cory, Renee, Eric, Shasta, Joshua, Caitlin, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Caleb, Shelby, and Shyla; great grandchildren: Kaulten, Alana, Casey, Cenley, Carson, Quinn, Tyler, Brody, Braylon, and Everly Ann; great great grandson Asher; brother David and wife Sandi, Pearland, TX; sister-in-law Janet Miller, York; and special friend Sally Percherke. Retired from Bendix Corporation and Quemahoning Twp. Farmer. Member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Laurel Highlands Antique Power Club (Stoystown Lions Club), North Branch Hunting Club, Glades Highlands Antique Iron Association, and volunteered at the Somerset Historical Society. He enjoyed Memorial Day Parades, spending time with family and friends, soup weekends, restoring antique tractors, hunting, fishing, farming, and listening to polka music. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s U.C.C., Stoystown. Pastor Sharon Fox officiating. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
