Richard Allen Jock Sr.

Richard Allen Jock, Sr., 83, Stoystown, died Aug. 22, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 9, 1934 in Hooversville, son of Peter and Lena (Gagleard) Jock. Preceded in death by parents, and sister Mary Alice Shaffer. Survived by his wife of 60 years the former Durelles Meyers; children: Debra married to Roger Koch, Flower Mound, TX, and Richard Jr. married to the former Connie Hendrickson, Portage; and brothers: Raymond (Nancy) Jock and James (Faye) Jock, both of Johnstown. He was a 1952 graduate of Hooversville High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. Retired manager of John T. Larkin Plumbing and Heating, Johnstown. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown where he was very active, and Johnstown Lodge 538 F. and A.M. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and woodworker, and he enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Funeral Service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. Rev. Felicia Swartz and Rev. Gerald Myers officiating. Interment Somerset Co. Memorial Park.
