Robert L. Casper

Robert L. Casper, 69, Stoystown, died July 19, 2019 at home. Born October 28, 1949 in Somerset, son of John and Mary (Yonish) Casper. Preceded in death by parents, son Aaron R., and brother Richard. Survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Valerie Swartzwelder, brother John “Butch” Casper, Stoystown, 6 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews. He was a 1967 graduate of Shade Central City High School and a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a partner in Casper Trucking and a former heavy equipment operator. He attended Pioneer Presbyterian Church, Ligonier. Member of Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed his 1970 Cuda, woodworking, and his cats. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Michael A. Dunlap officiating.
