Ronald W. "Bud" Harkcom

Ronald W. “Bud” Harkcom, 89, Berlin, died Jan. 24, 2019 at Somerset Hospital. Born May 15, 1929 in Somerset, son of Dorse D. and Rosalind (Walker) Harkcom. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Audrey Groff, son Michael, and sister Betty Corts. Survived by daughters: Debra (C. Brian) Cotter, Berlin, and Connie (Brian) Updyke, Boswell; grandchildren: Melanie (Christopher) Boyce, Carrie (Nathan) Croner, Michael Harkom, Milton (Tracy) Snyder, and Sarah (David) Gindlesperger; great grandchildren: Matthew and Megan Boyce, Carissa Croner, Caleb, Caden, and Colt Snyder, and Michaela and Daniel Gindlesperger; sisters Helen Jean Brown and Colleen (Larry) Wilson, and brother David Harkcom. He was a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School. He formerly worked as a printer, and then as a security guard for Soberdash Coal Co. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing and coaching softball, coaching football, and spending time with his family. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev.
