Ronald H. Reeping, Jr.

Ronald H. Reeping, Jr., 61, Stoystown, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of Dec. 9, 2018 at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 9, 1957 in Fort Campbell, KY, son of the late Ronald H. Sr. and Mary Helen (Severs) Reeping. Survived by his wife of 15 years, the former Jennifer Cortright; children: Jessica (Reeping) married to Alfred Dicanio, Jessica Blessel married to Marc Hinton, and Nicholas Blessel; grandchildren: Josiah, Gracelyn, and Noah Hinton, Juliette and Alfred Dicanio; sisters: Kim married to Tyce Olean and Carol married to Michael Stannard; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He was a 1975 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School and attended Slippery Rock University. He was an employee of the EADS Group for 30 years. Member of the Sons of the American Legion, Stoystown and the Father and Son Camp, Potter County. Ron was a rebel or a “badass” and if you had the pleasure of knowing him, you already know that. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and sure liked to tip a few beers back. When Ron wasn’t working, causing mischief, or enjoying the outdoors, he was with his family. He loved his grandchildren deeply and cherished the time he spent with them. He is already missed by so many. There will not be any services because let’s be real, Ron would be rolling his eyes with a few choice words if he saw all of that.
