Ruth E. Browning, 87, Berlin formerly of Stoystown (Buckstown), died July 21, 2017 at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born April 23, 1930 in Somerset, daughter of Ezra and Sadie (Martin) Scott. Preceded in death by parents, husband Allen F., son Lynn, grandson David, brother Leroy Scott, and sister Rachel Miller. Survived by children: Kenneth married to the former Cynthia Lohr, Bedford, Christine married to Alvin Harbaugh, Berlin, Rodney and friend Leslie Lohr, Somerset, and Shelley married to Thomas Murray, Land O’Lakes, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren with another due in December; and brother Glen (Janet) Scott. She was a 1948 graduate of Shanksville Stonycreek High School. Member of Unity United Church of Christ. Ruth loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was “GeeGee” to the great grandchildren. Private service at the convenience of the family. Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating.
