Ruth Marie (Yoder) Fieg

Ruth Marie Fieg, 91, Friedens, went to Heaven the morning of Nov. 4, 2017 at home. Born July 2, 1926 in Stonycreek Twp., daughter of Hiram “Pop” and Sadie (Trent) Yoder. She was the last surviving sibling of her family. Preceded in death by parents; sons Rodney and Rodger; grandson Mark Keller; brothers: Royden, Bill, Millard, and Orville; and sisters Ada Oakman and Mary Emerick. Survived by her friend and husband James, to whom she was married for 68 years; daughters Joyce (Bill) Burket, Janice (Duane) Keller, and Beverly Thompson; son Randy Fieg; grandsons: Kurt and Bryan Burket and Matthew Keller; step grandchildren: Heather Twombly and Neil Hare; and six great grandchildren. She was hard working, caring, and always giving of herself to others. Her family considered her the “BEST”. Member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and baking. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church. Rev.
