Samuel Wayne Erny, 39, Longs, SC, formerly of Berlin, died May 23, 2019 at Grand Strand Health Center, Myrtle Beach, surrounded by his family. Born Dec. 22, 1979 in Somerset, son of Samuel A. Erny, Jr. and Bonnie (Shipley) Foy. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents Samuel Erny, Sr. and Katherine Erny, maternal grandparents Richard “Jack” and Edith Shipley, uncles R. Wayne Shipley and Roger Brant, and infant nephew Alexander Paul Weyant. Survived by his mother and her husband Jeff Foy, Sr., Somerset; his father, Longs, SC; wife, the former Dusti Breitenbach, children: Cailey, Jaelyn, Saydi, and Samuel; sister Kristina (Chad) Berkebile, Friedens; father- and mother-in-law Wade and Carri Breitenbach, OH; paternal step grandmother Delores Erny, Somerset; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and attended Coastal Carolina University and Georgetown Tech. He was a co-owner of a business with his father. He loved his children more than anything and was beloved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service at 3 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Gary Jenson officiating. Interment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
